View Full Version : Just found a Lyman 56A in my stuff

This is my first post but have been reading things around here for a while. I was going through some of my old sights and found a really nice 56A. I had no idea that they were pretty rare. I sold my model 94 but still own a Sav99, Mar1897 and 336C. I must have found it when going through some of my Grandpa's stuff. Nice old sight. I might trade it off.

I bought a Marlin waffle top with a Redfield sight on it. I think some would ahve given me what I paid for the combination. Had more than one offer to sell the sight. Look close at the trade.

That's not how we do it around here. If we find a mould or sight or even a box of cartridges we set out in search of a rifle to make use of what we've found.;-)

Great point Sir... Gonna have to find a nice pre 64 mod 94.. Wait, just remembered got my wifes Grandad's 32WS hangin on the wall. Isn't drilled tho.

That Texas dude has the right idea, especially if that is the old sight, it is easier to find a gun for it than it is a sight for the gun. lol
I have been known to buy a rifle just to get the sight. lol
