My Ped Roller has no holes at all in the barrel, just two dovetails.

If they are sticking with std US practice, expect 6-48 screw holes,
which are ridiculously tiny, IMHO. Some (more forward thinking, again
IMHO) manufacturers are using 8-40, which is much stronger. You
will find neither at any screw supplier other than a gunsmith
shop or gun parts supplier, unfortunately they are WAY non std
threads.

Of course, they could be anything that Ped wanted, including metric -
they are in Italy, after all.

.................Hmmmm, I wasn't aware the Pedersoli's were D&T'd. Are you the original owner?

Could be either 6-40 or 6-48 you'll need to check with a sample screw. If the threads are sharp and well formed either #6 thread is adaquate for holding a scope on up to a 375 H and H magnum. I have had them recoil shear on stouter calibers. Tikka has a peg in the front mount that holds the mount in place and keeps this from happening. No worries on the RB, even with a full length Malcom style.

Unertl blocks require four holes. Two for each block. The rear block holes are spaced farther apart than the front block holes. Center to center of the pair of holes should be 7.2 inches.
