I did some preliminary reading before picking up this powder but not too much was out there. I've read it will work, and it meters well.
Lee loadbook has min and max 5.0-5.7gr @ 1.125 OAL
Going off my burn rate chart I can see it's a bit slower than Blue Dot, which isnt ideal.. so I have the feeling it prefers charges at the higher end of the spectrum for a better burn.

Will be using it with the Lee 124gr TLTC, and 45/45/10

Can anyone share their experience with this particular load?

Pet load? Smokey? Clean? Meter well?

My goal is to reach near the top end and simulate my carry ammo, while retaining effective accuracy.

It worked well for me. I used below book start in 9 and 40. It gets great velocity. Picked up 16 pounds of it to use in my 9mm carbine.

Most accurate powder that I found for cast with 120, 147, and 150 gr boolits. Target accuracy at max jacketed velocities.

I use it in my 8 shot Ruger 327 magnum with a 113 gr. cast GC bullet.

I use Longshot for my 9's and really like it. I'm using the 125 TLRN. I started with 4.5gr and got around 965- 980 fps also using 45-45-10. I kept bumping up to 5.4gr as the max I used and was getting 1130 fps with an oal of 1.125-130 . they shot really well, I have since switched to using PC coating, Longshot with 5.2gr. and an oal of 1.120 and am getting 1075 fps, shoots well and is working really well for steel challenge out of my 986 revolver. All fps were from my revolver with a 5 inch barrel. These same loads work great with my semi-autos as well. It meters great and is my favorite powder for 9mm It also works good with 115gr. plated as well. As a side note the velocities are about 65-95 fps higher in the semi-autos.

Thank you everyone for replying so quickly and getting back to me! I'm glad to hear it's such a good powder cause I bought a few
Lbs and it could have gone both ways, lol.
Do you guys have any info regarding loading 38spl with longshot? I don't see anything in my lee and I'm only starting to look it up for 38's.

IMO it would be wasted in the .38 spl although Hogdon lists jacketed +P loads with LS. It would probably work just fine but being as slow as it is you would just need to burn more for equal velocities. I believe the .38 spl is much better served with faster powders like Bullseye,231,unique etc.
