.454 colt light boolits

looking for some 200 or under cast boolits in .454 inch to try to bring down my poi from a 7.5 inch Colt SAA. any ideas where I could find some to try to find out if they will do what I want?

all liter boolits I find are either .451 or .452 inch diameter for the auto pistols I imagine. don't want to spring for a mold till I find out if I can bring em down with the lighter boolits.

Have you tried 230 grain area? What have you tried so far?

260 grain. cant find any lighter boolits in the .454 I need for my Colt.

The .454 has all but gone away, manufactures are making molds in .452. The only .454 you might find is older molds you would have to buy used; 454190 and 454424. Both are 250+ grains.

My favorite 200 gr boolit in the .45 Colt is 452460. It's ugly seated in the case but it has printed the tightest groups for me in my Colt SAA's by far.

You will likely, as been stated, have find older molds or go custom if you are wanting .454 diameter as cast. I shoot this one I put together and its a nice one.

I had the mold cut to drop at .454 with wheel weight alloy.

I think I can get 0.454" out of this one in a 210grain PB/solid !

Jerry ... I would really like to give them a try if you can sell me a couple hundred. you say they are solid ... not the hollow point shown? would prefer a solid base but gas check would work to tell if I can get em to print a bit lower for my Colt.

I have an RCBS 45-185 for the ACP that casts big enough to size .454 is you want to try some
and yes I have shot this boolit in 45C.
Am using it for up to a 100 meter lever gun silhouette matches.
