Found this yesterday on a different forum and it worked on my dead chargemaster, thought I would share. My old unit stopped taking input from the keypad after about 3 years. The 4 key went first so instead of throwing 40.0 I would throw 39.9 and trickle. Then the 9 went out and then the 3. Out of warranty so I was stuck. Here is the fix.
Take the bottom rails off and separate the scale. Remove the four screws from the bottom of the dispensing unit and split carefully. There is a ribbon cable and motor wiring, don't disconnect them. Once separated use a new dryer sheet and wipe down all of the internal casing you can reach. Re-assemble.
Did this to mine and it fired up, calibrated, and all the keys work again. Worth the ten minutes to try.
