Friends, I am currently using winchester waa12 wads and am wondering which other wads are good for just general sky busting clay target loads. EI which ones are as versatile as the waa12. Or that one used to be the one back in the day everyone seemed to like.
Just looking to expand my choices on usable data.

try claybuster wads . I use allot of them they work fine and ive got a local vender that sells them at a good price .i use them in 12 gauge and 410 for recreational clay pigeon shooting and never had a day of trouble with them

I don't recommend Claybusters but do recommend the Down Range Winchester clones.

I've had good luck with Windjammers in both 1-1/8 (white) for trap and 1oz (yellow) for skeet- last order was $85 for 5K wads with $7.95 flat rate shipping from Grafs.

wCall me crazy but I buy whatever wads are cheapest at garage sales, estates, classified ads, etc.
They all work just fine. In my experience any wad that holds an ounce of shot performs pretty much just like every other wad holding the same amount of shot.

If I miss a shot, I blame my shooting instead of the load. YMMV.
