I still don't have a .357 in the stable so had to try out my mould by proxy by donating a hundred or so boolits to a guy at the range to try out in his Marlin.

Saw him yesterday and he wanted to know if I could make him up 1000. He is getting 1" groups at 50 yds. he says and tells me that he hasn't been able to get a 158 grain to shoot that good ever.

He was using a max. charge of AA#9 but can't remember what it was?

So, It looks like the 180 grain idea for the .357 rifle works as good as it sounded like it would.

This is the boolit Honcho'd by .357 max awhile back called the "C358-180-RF Reprisal".

Boy, if I was in business and charged money, I could make a bit of change on this one judging by what similar designs go for from the commercial casters!

If this is the RANCH DOG design, the results have been uniformly excellent. The mould has been modified to a 359 190, per RD, and will be available in June or July....I've asked to be put on the list for a six cavity mould.

While I like the 44 caliber better, the 1894C and 1894 Cowboy, either 20 or 24 inch barrel, is a d--- nice little utility gun. With this boolit, I'll probably use mine a lot more.

I think that the C358-180-RF was orginally one of Lar 45's designs and not one of the "Ranch Dog" designs.

This one has the conventional lube grooves if that's any help. The profile looks alot like my bigger .44 group buy that was a Ranch Dog though. That thing is the best .44 boolit I have for kick-butt loads in both .44 mag. & .444 Marlin

Lar 45 designed that one, I will never part with mine, and I almost feel bad I sold my spare..........I was a little dissapointed when I tried it in my 35 remmy (fit), but it does so good in my 357mags, and my max, that it was a short term dissapointment. Truly one great 357 boolit design.....thanks Glenn
