Looks like the pharmacist has a chance to see it coming and wrecks the bad guys day for good.

The only problem I see with that is that he could have gotten the two people next to him killed. He was darned lucky there!

Yeah they were lucky. I bet that second pharmacists ears were ringing from the CCWs shot. I wonder what the second pharm. was grabbing at the end of the encounter? A side arm maybe.

On the other hand, doing nothing could've just as easily resulted in all 3 being killed by the robber. From what I've read elsewhere, the pharm. has trained weekly for this scenario, "just in case". I'd be tickled to see every robbery turn out that well for the good people.

Are we sure that was West Virginia? If it was Nebraska that could have been our very own Btroj.

He was willing to dish it out, but couldn't take it . Don't do anything stupid , and nothing stupid will happen.

I would not wish that on btroj.

I appreciate that. There are a few other RPs on here, I hope they are never put in this situation either.

Bet the coworkers are glad he didn't flinch.

Thanks for the link. I never saw that report on the local channel I watch.
It was in Pinch WV about 10 miles from Charleston. It was a privately owned pharmacy.
The victim was identified as a 25 Y.O. from the local area.
The pharmacist gave a statement which included: He strongly supported the 2nd Amendment. He practiced with his pistol and was prepared to such an event. He felt he had the right to protect his business and not suffer the loss of a robber. He was remorseful for the victims family.
The newscast then ended showing the pharmacist filling a prescription as things were perfectly normal.
The police were going to turn the case over to the DA as required, but the sheriff felt that no charges could be brought against the pharmacist. WV has the Castle Doctrine so the family of the deceased can not bring a civil case if the robbery fell under the Castle Doctrine.
There were 9 people in the pharmacy at the time of the shooting.
