The jerky's been on the drier for a few hours now. Thats 2lbs of deer meat you see in the pic. The drier sure is getting a work'n, think this is about the 5th batch since the close of season.
I like the kit (spices) original-flavor best. No one knows yet, but this batch is for me. I loaded up on the red pepper this time.

Hmmm, by chance are you a member of AR15.com? If so, shouldn't you have a tape measure or ice pick in the picture:)?
Jerky looks great, 'bout the only way I care to eat Venison.

I don't use a drier. I just cut strips and put em in the oven.
I can do about 10 lbs at a time that way.

Looks really good - I must assume the 686 is to stop jerky thieves?:-D
