I had bought some magnum primers of a different brand at a gun show one year. Weeks later, I checked the loading books and discovered the only use for magnum primers were for very heavy loads and 410 shells. That was after loading 100 shells and not checking the primer package. 209 is all the same...right?? The bang those things made were much louder. I still have 85 left and well I may finish them off in my Win pump.

All 209's are NOT alike!!!!!

Jake, I knew afterwards!! That was what I was thinking when I bought them (a 209 is a 209) only after loading 100 and shot a few did I check the box. The point I was trying to make was to always check the package before just blindly going ahead.
Thanks for pointing out this for any future knuckleheads that get in a hurry (like me) after bringing home a "great deal"!! It may not be a great as you think. I was able to swap out the other 400 to someone needing mag ones.

They were given to me by my dad some 18 years ago, don't know how long he had then before that.
