This is one of the batches that are AA #9 speed.
It will not ignite well or at all in 44 Mag or 357 Mag with Winchester Pistol Primers.
Finally stumbled into a supply of WSPM and WLPM primers so I thought I was set.
AA book data (358429) and the primers are flat as a fritter with the small pistol magnum primers.
Loaded some today way down in accordance with one of my Hornady books.
I have loaded several rifle cartridges with this powder (IAW Maven recommendations 30-06) AND 7.7X58 and all was well.
Long roundabout way to ask . . .
All that to say have others had any issues with this lot of WC820?
OH and I have a MUCH older batch of WC 820 I refer to as WC 820 Slow which is exactly like H110 (tested side by side) and it ignites easily and consistently in all configurations and all pistol cartridges I have tried.
Not enough left out of 24 pounds to waste in Rifle chamberings.
