Drove to Wake Forest this wknd & spent a nice but cool day with DougGuy & we fixed my cyls. & throats on 5 revolvers all had uneven throats (different sizes)& the usual ruff throats, not no more.

I disassembled & DougGuy worked his magic !! not really as he has a bench full of the correct tools to do the job with!!

All came home with matching throats & smooth forcing cones!!!

Here`s a pic of my blued GP100 throat, he cleaned it up nicely with a few turns of a 5degree cutter.
The throats he cut then polished to exactly the same thing (the best I could feel with the pin gage)enuff typing , I`ll let the pic say the rest !

Ifin ya thinkin of doing it yourself like I was there`s no way to afford all the pin gages, bushings & pilots to do it RIGHT.

Looking forward to range day!!!!!

Very nicely done. I wish DougGuy were close enough for a road trip.

Thanks especially for the pics. They tell the story.

Bravo Zulu guys....

Yep good work from the sound of it and the pics here and there. He's done a bunch of work on the forum here.

Please tell me how that goes.

I have several revolvers that have me wondering if I need to work on throats. It may be too late but if you have before and after groups that would be enlightening.

Thanks,
dilly

Range trip pending , hope I can shoot 1/2 as good as I hope these revolvers do!

Gotta work this sat for sure .

But what I was really after was that tad bit of leading in the cone.
& now that`ll be a lot easier to taylor to now that all the throats are the same & the cone slikened up a bit

Wish I was closer also, so I could watch and learn as he's working on my three cyl. Hope they will be back soon, but looks like another cold week in Central IL so no hurry yet.
