just aquired a old army ruger and am going to get a .45 long colt cylinder for it. i want either walnut, rosewood or bone grips to put on it. no markings of any kind on the grips. will even finish them my self if they fit but need to be finished. can anyone help with a good source. no fake bone or ivory grips, real bone or wood. thanks before hand.

Check out Lone Star Custom Grips. Zane Thompson is a SUPER nice guy, can make you a set of grips you'll like, AND at a fair price. He goes by lscg on the Ruger Forum, and the single action forum. Tell him "contender" told ya about him.

Check with Grasshorn for some horn grips. The best. Beautiful. Many styles.
