I have a set of 7.62 Russian CH4D dies. And I have a number of Mosins (it must be from Finnish side...)

Problem: the expander is set up for 308 bullets - and I don't want to work my brass that much - taking the next down that much and then opening back up to run .312-.314 CB's.

I also have 303 British to play with - and to a minor issue - regular 308 cases.

I also have Lyman M dies...with the 30R & 31R plugs

Solutions:

Buy the a bushing neck sizer die - Ch4D makes one for $63 ($13 per bushing). Have to think a little on different sizes
Buy a new expander button for the Ch4D - .310 or ....@ $13 (?)
Lee Collet Die in 303 British - Good on 303, but only partial on the 7.62 Russian neck. Probably $35 solution.

I do need to look at annealing....

Thanks for any solutions....

Do you keep your cases separated by rifle? If not, you will need to if you start neck sizing only. I use the 303 collet die on one Finn that gets the Lapua brass. The partial sizing of the neck is no problem since I seat the bullets way out anyway. The others I don't bother keeping separated and get the FL treatment without the expander spud. I just use the 31R M die to do the expanding separately.
