I have loaded 38 S&W loads in a 38 spl by seating the bullet deep in the case to 38 S&W dim. Now I am wondering if I coud use the same idea to load 45 Colt loads to 45 ACP dim.
I really have no reason to do this other then to experiment (just courious). I would like any thoughts on this from you.

No problem at all. It's similar to loading 357 loads in 38 cases with the bullets seated out. The internal ballistics care not.

I don't know what brass you're using, but don't forget about .45 Auto Rim load data and the brass, Lyman manuals 47-49 have plenty of good data.

There is a limit. Going too deep may cause interference with case wall taper and cause bulged cases.
