I signed up for this one on the NOE website, just because. Would it be a good one to use in a 1892 25-20? Overall length okay? Does it look like it would feed okay? Thanks!

My rifle is a 1914-vintage Winchester 1892 with pristine 24" barrel. I use the Lyman #257420, .258" 65 grain RNFP gas check, that is similar in overall profile. I always use the Lyman M-die for neck expansion to seat cast bullets in .25-20 (and most other calibers). The .25-20 cases collapse and crush pretty easily, so when you start stuffing .260" bullets into them you need to make sure the necks are properly prepared to accept them.

Feeds properly, shoots nicely to 50 yards. Haven't tried longer ranges with it as I intend this for a small game load (Colorado blue grouse, snowshoe hares, nothing larger than a turkey). Had a nice grouse dinner taken with the first shot after adjusting the sights for this load (R-P brass, 9.0 IMR-4198, standard primer, a modest load).

376Steyr,
Take a look at this site for excellent information about loading and shooting the 25-20

Any reason not to look at the other 25-20 designs NOE has available?

I have the 260 80gr GC & 260283 85gr PB. Both shoot great.
I am currently using the PB boolit in my 1892 25-20.
