Here's the deal...
I've got a H-R receiver and I suppose a choice of 4 barrels which I need to choose one from:
1) 38-55
2) 45-70 22"
3) 45-70 32"
4) 444
Which of the 4 barrels would lend itself best to paper patching? I would think the 444 would be the least likely candidate because of the lack of bullet molds and I understand the 444 H-R barrels mike over .430" in the grooves. I want to use only smokeless powder. Are all four barrels drilled and tapped for a scope mount?
