I was organizing my reloading room and came across a zippy bag of 454 causel brass. This is NOS primed cases.

They are head stamped 454 causel FAA and use LARGE primers. I do not own a gun in this caliber but if they are usable it gives me a reason too! There are 200 in the bag. Are they safe to use and what type of primmer do they use?

IIRC, there was a change to the SRP when triplex loads were used.

plenty of rifles use LRP at high pressure. I'd have no qualms using that brass as intended

Wasnt long ago I needed 45 colt brass and just couldn't find any...anywhere. Well not that was any cheaper than just buying loaded ammo and shooting it. They had a bag of 454 at the reloading place, just cut them down to 45 colt.

If their not balloon head, use'em as is.
If their balloon head, reduce load's!
