I have been shooting RCBS 201 grain swc bullets in my 45 but want to find a TC mold and there doesn't seem to be much out there.
Any TC molds around 220 to 230 grains.
I've read that they have the same shape as hornady 200 xtp's.
Would rather not buy a Lee.
After using a NOE I'd like to get something similar.

if not lee then maybe:

or

If it were me I would go after the 230Q as it has more rounded edges on the meplat which often helps the boolit run up the feed ramp.

I had tried to stir up interest in this design at NOE a while back but no one other than me seemed interested.

I've got the Lee and it does cast good booklets and they multiply rather quickly using their 6 cavity mold. They're 1/2 the price of the RCBS, I find I'd rather have an RCBS myself too, but the Lee does do good service for me.

NEI makes one -

But Accurate and NOE have better rep's since Walt's gone

NOE's design is pretty close

And while Lee isn't NOE their 6 cavity molds are pretty good for the price and if you are careful with them you can get good service.

That NOE 230HP is looking good to me.
Especially if one goes on sale.
It does look close enough.
Could use it in 45 colt also.
My 1911 will feed empty cases after a lot of tuning so I don't think feeding would be a problem.
Probably get it or a mold from Accurate if I don't go HP.

LBT offers the 45 LFN for 45 ACP. IT's reputed to be a mighty killer of medium game.

I have the Lee 230 gr TC (with lube groove) in a six cavity mould that works really well. Not only does it feed well in my 1911's but it loads slick when used in full moon clips in my 625's.

The mould is not the quality of my Mihec, NOE or LBT moulds, but, frankly, it's good enough. The production rate is excellent and they shoot VERY well.

Just keep ANY aluminum mould lubed properly, handle gently, and it will last forever, in practical terms.
