Had a pretty serious workbench accident today, the big tackle box I use for storing small gun parts was precariously balanced and of course it fell off during a rather spirited session of kitchen table gunsmithing. :holysheep
This unfortunate incident led to scooping up all (I hope) of the gun bits and spreading them out on a nearby desk. I had a good time sorting, organizing and labeling but one item is a bit of a mystery to me. Was wondering if anyone could confirm my suspicions.
To fight cabin fever I thought it might be fun if someone else were to post the next mystery part, I have a few more that might be fun.

Bold side safety trigger for a Springfield

Pretty sure it's not aftermarket, most likely an OE takeout when I upgraded. Not a Springfield.

Well it's not a Mauser 98 military, M1 Carbine or Garand, Mini-14, AR15, HK91, Tikka T-3, Winchester Model 70 Ruger 10/22, Doesn't have the blade in the middle so not a Savage or Axis or Remington 700 - what other toys have you upgraded?

Work on a remington lately? 700 or 788?

That's not from a 700. Poke in the dark. 600 or 660? I've not seen one of those triggers so just a guess.

Not lately but my parts collection started over 30 years ago.

Oops, just checked my suspect donor rifle and it seems my Remington hints were incorrect.

I've only had 700 and 597 Remington rifles. It's not from the 597 and don't think it's from a 700, Artful would have known if it was.

Quite possibly, had forgotten about putting a Timney trigger in that rifle.

Yes, I believe Artful is correct! Does appear to be the OE Vanguard trigger.
Next?

It looks like a Timney aftermarket trigger for the Howa/S&W/Weatherby Vanguard to me. The gold anodized body is what makes me think it's a Timney.

What you got more mystery parts?
Suggestion - ziplock plastic bags with written descriptions.

I generally write the firearm info on the packaging for the replacement part. This one somehow slipped thru and I thought it would be fun to see how long it took for someone to figure it out. Didn't take you long, good job!
