I have what appears to be an almost unfired Marlin '94 in .41 mag with some unfortunate tight spots toward the breech end. Accuracy with cast is poor. By the time a slug is hammered past the constrictions, it will almost fall out the muzzle end. They've got to go. Has anyone lapped a .41 mag '94 and checked what the finished groove diameter turned out to be? I need to choose a lapping boolit large enough to get it consistent end to end, and would like to know what others' experiences have been lapping this caliber.
