I just got my rcbs 200 mold. Fired up the pot after about 5 cycles it was making wonderful bullets. Without making anyone responsible for their pet loads for this combo is there an official load data published by powder company's for this cast bullet Or a loading manual that includes this boolit?

Use jacketed data for a 200 gr. and you're good to go. Start low.

Lyman cast bullet manual No. 4. May not list RCBS but start low with any 200 gr boolit load. I have loaded some 160gr SWC pistol boolits for my Model 8. Used light load that may not work the action. Haven't had a chance to try them yet.

+1 I normally use jacketed data for AA2230 or 4895 .

I recently shot the NOE clone of the RCBS 200 grain FP using 35 grains of IMR 4320 and it shot well. Probably what I'll use when that rifle gets a chance to go hunting.

Starting loads for H4895 and 200 grain jacketed bullets will work. Better yet, reduce the H4895 loads to around 1600-1800 fps for best accuracy. H4895 is safe to reduce.

RCBS 200 gr and 20 gr 4759, shoots very well in a model 141 and a rem 760. Start at 16 gr and work up from there.

Using H-4198 I was able to exceed jacketed velocity with very good accuracy, sub 1" at 50 yds. with iron sights. My bore has been firelapped which no doubt helps prevent leading. I could not get full velocity with any slower powders, I ran out of case capacity.

Don't overlook H335. I get my best accuracy with it using the RCBS 35-200

I have not seen any pistol powders in my area for over 2 years Unique red dot green dot 2400 nada no way zilch. Had to switch over to blackpowder for my 45 long colts.

I use around 40 grains of LVR in my Marlin. You will find a sweet spot.

Good luck

RCBS published a loading manual for their cast bullet molds. That bullet is in there. RCBS Cast Bullet Manual #1. Or just use the Lyman data for their bullet about the same weight. I have been using 3031 powder in Rem 141. That was not from the RCBS manual though. Probably from Lyman or IMR, possibly for jacketed.

Had no idea, is it worth hunting up a copy? Wow, only been on here five minutes and already learned something. Thanks, cuzinbruce!

It is a pretty good book but I don't know how much effort you want to make to find a copy. Lists the 35-200 FN bullet with 4 powders, H380, 748, 4320 and Herco. Also 5 other bullets with data. Mostly pistol/silhouette types, probably not my first choice for 35 Rem. I would just start with the data for Lyman 358315 which is about the same weight.

Yes it is, however some of their loadings seem a bit energetic, especially on the handgun side, while their rifle data is geared to stop at or below 2000 fps. It is still an excellent source of data for RCBS molds.
