Just got the T-7 Turret Press with the primer feed system. The tubes that hold the primers are somewhat constricted at the throats. I assume that you are supposed to widen the throats at the split so that the primers move through easily but I thought I would ask here before I did irreversible damage. I didn't get any instructions with the mechanism.

I have a T7, I think I have the directions for the primer feed. I will pm you if I find the directions.

I have a T7 with the primer feed. I didn't have to do anything to my pickup tubes. I hate to ask the obvious, but you're not trying to pick up large primers with the small tube, are you?

If I understand correctly the answer is no. I don't have a T-7 but all primer tubes are about the same. Some use a plastic end, c spring or a split to hold the primer from falling out when you press the tube over it on the flip plate. The other end should have a hole for a pin so the primers don't fall out when you put them into the machine. If you are using a vibrating filler than yes they should drop in without a restriction.
