I've been passing it up the past month. I don't need any new powders to experiment w/.

I can't wait to hear what your results are with this new powder. It's supposed to be more temperature stable.

Love the new BE-86 ! Meters great thru my Hornady powder measure. Loaded some 45acp 200gr SWC, recipe showed a max of 6.7 grains. I loaded 5.8 thru 6.6 in steps and tried each load. Have to say that I like them all, wife preferred the 6.0gr. loads. We were shooting indoors and the 6.0gr loads were very accurate. The 6.6gr load was a bit much but easily manageable. Could not see much of a flash if any and also not much of a report.

I've been eyeing this powder, but Bullseye sho' is a lot more efficient.

I bought a pound yesterday because I'm tired of seeing it everytime I go there. Ten more people need to do the same thing. Either they have a lot of it or it isn't selling.

The only really new powder I plan to buy is some CFE Pistol. I have 2400 up the wazoo, which is unobtanium, but a brotha' can't get any CFE Pistol.

BE-86 and the other newer Alliant powders would sell better if there was more data published for them. Alliant is absolutely terrible about this. Not everyone is up to experimenting with a new powder.

Plenty of that as well. They had a few cases of 8 pounders on the shelf. The new powders are readily available. The new Hodgdon rifle powders are at the low price of $36 a #.

I'm in Podunk Georgia and only have a Gander Mountain here. I have not seen any powder in any store locally.

Love Life,

Backwoods outdoors USED to have a good bit. Don't know their status anymore been a couple years. You are also not too far from bass and antler in Milledgeville. Usually going there is worth the drive. If you need either number PM me and I will give you their digits. B&A is one of my vendors and is usually well stocked.

Just reading about BE-86, never used any. Says it is flash suppressed and for .45 ACP +P, they show max
of 935 fps with a 230 JHP, which is really fast and good for a self defense load. The comment of low flash
above, is good data that the flash suppressant works. I may have to get some of this stuff.

I just bought my first 8 pounder and it was BE-86
now at least I don't have to hunt and work with a new powder every 2 months [emoji6]
