I found by putting on the high-comb buttstock piece, my eyes lined right up w/ the occular on the Burris HBR 6X (an older, gloss black one I had in my stash). I centered the turrets prior to shooting the rifle
The barrel was easy to clean of factory fouling. This rifle was not covered or filled with greasy or oily goop!
The wind @ the range was running 12 to 15 mph on Sunday and switching SE to NW every minute. So, contitions were against me. But, I tried it out quickly @ 25 yards.
The first shot of REX (S&B surplus ammo) shot 3" left and 5" low. Barrel droop! The next 4 shots of REX .22 ammo cut a cloverleaf, 2" left and 5" low. I adjusted the scope and shot a 10 shot group, then a 20 shot group
I will wait for a better day, have the barrel block installed, and work w/ good ammo for 50 yard groups.
I already ordered a Barrel Block from Gunsmither. :t That will fix the droop condition.
The rifle functioned flawlessly. I like the Ruger BX 2.6 # trigger!
