My best friend and hunting partner just called and said his granddaughter who is 15 was having stomach pains this weekend so they brought her to the hospital. they found out yesterday that she has Leukemia and flew her to Milwaukee yesterday and she had her first chemo this morning. this is a good girl. Straight A's in school and she loves to hunt. Wears that pink muddy girl camo stuff everywhere and even has her 25-06 dipped in it. She comes out with us crop damage shooting and has probably shot as many deer as some adults. Please try to find a couple minutes to ask God for some mercy for her. thank you my friends.

I am never tooooo busy to pass up a prayer for a person in distress...may God work his miracle and cure the child that is suffering from leukemia. May God guide the doctors and health providers in such a way that she is never in pain; that they can detect and eliminate the source of the leukemia; and may God watch over her parents and siblings and help comfort them through out this long healing process. Amen

This young lady is in my prayers. We contribute fairly regularly to St Jude Children's Research Hospital. I like to think that it helps others such as this girl because they make the results of their research available to all without cost.

Lloyd, I have a friend who has been a leukemia survivor for over twenty years so it can be done. They have wonderful drugs now to work with. I will pray that she beats this and leads a normal life.

Lost a 14 year old niece back in 1983 so this brings back a lot of memories and should remind all of us how precious life is. Our prayers go out for her. Hopefully all of the advances made in medicine and God's love will heal her.

I got a call from the buddy yesterday. He told me she had AML leukemia. He didn't understand what that meant and they wont give any long term prognosis at least until the first round of chemo an radiation are done. I got looking on line and it seems that if you get leukemia this is the one you don't want. Its a bit better for children but the cutoff for what they consider adult and child is 15 and shes 14 so its pretty close there. Survival rates are pretty low. Like less the 40percent make 5 years. Shes in Gods hands and one thing I surely do believe in is the power of prayer so again THANK YOU for yours.

I want to say a prayer for her and pray that if she had to be sick with leukemia that it is the mild type like my brother and a first cousin of mine has,They have to do chemo once in a great while but have led pretty normal lives for the laast 40 or so years.
