Over the years I have moved from the old standard Large Herters press to using both the Corbin brother's swaging presses and an old hollywood senior for my case forming enjoyment. Out of the different presses that I have used, RCE's Walnut hill has been my favorite go to press for the amount of power delivered to the case. Richard says his WH press has about the same amount of power that Dave's large csp-2 H press has, which I tend to believe having used both presses. I use a combo of all these three presses depending on the size and amount of case's to be worked.

What's your favorite press for Case forming??

My favorite, one of the two permanently mounted presses in my shop, is my old RCBS A3.

Is anybody using the old Lachmiller 100? I've been using an early model rockchucker, but have a 100 I've been thinking about converting to use the new style shellholders.

I have a lyman Orange crusher I use for heavy case forming. I did make a longer handle up for it though. ( more for ease than need force).

I have an original model Rockchucker for most of the easy stuff and an A4 for bigger stuff.

I use a Lee Classic Cast for all of my forming needs. Haven't done anything major to warrant a swaging press yet.

I still use the Rock Chucker I bought in '81 for any forming or big cases, have several other presses. I've also used a Lee Challenger for forming some & it has served well.

I used my Rock chucker and my old Herters (single and a dual) set-up to form/size in stages. I have only done a 30-06 to 308 so far. It was easy to set-up since I have several 308 sizing dies. For my other conversions (22-250, 243, 250 Sav, 300 Sav, and 25-06 from 30-06 cases) I think I will go with my herters since they seem to have a little more leverage. I have several size dies for each of these, so this assembly line type thing will work for me. I intend to do more as soon as I figure which ones I want to do. This is fun since I am retired and have the time and learning a lot.

I've been using a Lee Classic Cast single stage. Forming 32 gauge shotshells to 577/450 won't fit on my smaller presses, so I do all case forming on it now.

I have been using my Redding Big Boss with Hornady LNL bushing. I think, though not sure, the bushing was introducing some run-out issues. I now have a Forster Co-ax I'm anxious to try on forming.

I use my old RCBS Ammomaster press that I bought originally for reloading 50 BMG. Has lots of power for resizing cases.

I have used the 100 and my 400 for case forming. you can purchase and adaptor but I only Use originals. i purchase a quantity on Ebay Of lachmiller original The sell er must have a load of them . he always lists . it would Pay to look into it. I.m sure you realize original Herters will work as well. my Lachmiller 400 has a threaded Ram. This will take threaded adaptors , threaded herters, RF well. and others.

RCBS Rockchucker bought new in 1972 for $39.95 (I remember the price because I was still in HS and nearly broke). Still going strong and has formed a huge number of cases.

Formed lots of 256s and Herrets on a JR , really prefer the Rockchucker but did not have it back then. Case forming is all I use the RC for, prefer to load on the old JR or a Co-Ax.
