Found this at the local Fleet Farm with the icefishing supplies. Got it for sifting out clips when smelting wheel weights.
Part #2089230003, on sale for 3.99. This thing should work awesome!

If it is soldered, drill two holes the sizr of 10d nails in the bowl and handle while they are still attached. Pass a nail through each hole and clip the excess nail off to leave about 1/8th inch of nail proud of the ladle. Back the nail heads up on a vice or anvil and hammer the stubs to rivet the bowl and handle together. You will be fixed for life.

Mine is a huge full metal slotted spoon I got from the Everything's a Dollar store. Good buy, hope it works well for you.

Just had a revelation. I was in a customer's shop who sells commercial kitchen equipment (walk-ins, griddles, etc) and found ladels galore. Picked up a small one about the size of a quarter, one big enough for muffin tin ingots in one pour, and a slotted strainer ladle, all stainless, all spot welded for under $5 total. Who would have thought?

Ill have to look closer if its welded or soldered. If soldered, nothing a little duct tape can't fix. J/K, Ill just hit it with the welder.

Those dollar store stainless steel kitchen spoons are the bee's knees and are cheap as dirt!
