Sighting in my CVA Optima since I installed a new scope. Bore sighted the rifle in a few days ago. Shot at a 25 yd target yesterday. Nice tight group. A little high, but will adjusts scope sights at 50 yd target.

Lookin' good, especially if that's a pistol. If we're talking about a rifle here, I'd go for a 100 yard zero at least. That gives you a point blank range of nearly 120 yards with a usable point blank target size, depending on your load of course. A pistol; I don't know.

Plan on getting back out to the range this Sunday. I will shoot at 50 yds and see where my bullets are impacting on the target. Will make any scope adjustments at that point. Slowly but surely I will get out to the 100 yd targets.
I am shooting this out of my CVA Optima rifle. Loaded with a 230 gr. soft cast lead bullet, MMP Sabot and a Winchester 209 primer.

What scope did you mount on the Rifle? I have an Optima and bought a mount for it several years ago, but I've never went forward with scoping it.

What powder does your rifle like? Mine shoots equally well with Goex 2F or with Pyrodex Select.

I put a 3x9x40 Tradition scope on it.
I shoot 2F KIK Black Powder (90 gr.) under a 230 gr. soft cast lead bullet. Winchester 209 primer.
