does brass spring back?

TIA, lam case base swaging (pistol) for now. Does brass have lil' spring back? Figured this would be best place for ?.

Brass does spring back. That is why when we swage bullets using fired brass cases we anneal them for the best results. Annealing allows for less spring back and easier formation.
