Is there anyone making wood grips for BFR revolvers or any other material except for the rubber that they come with.

I'm not aware of anyone doing them, but single actions are pretty easy to do by yourself. I whittled these for my brothers .475.

There are a couple of guys on ebay that do them and magnum research also does a couple. Be prepared to loosen up the wallet if you have them done. Like was said you can make your own with a few tools without going broke or damaging the gun. Tape up the brightwork, use the right screwdrivers.

Hi David
I just want to try them on my 475 and my 454 BFR and see if I might like them.

I bought the black micarta from MR I did not send the gun for them to fit the grips. It was spendy but I could not grip the gun correctly or shoot the gun with those ugly rubbers. The micarta fits me superbly and the gun is very comfortable to shoot.

My F/A .475 is not at all pleasant to shoot with full power loads, but my brothers .475 BFR is much nicer to shoot. The wood grips on his are no problem at all, and worlds better than the 1/2 plastic, 1/2 rubber factory grips.

I forgot mine also is in .475. I love the gun and caliber with the new grips
