Do we have any serious 03 Springfield collectors on the site? I have an 03 that was a lend lease rifle in 1942. I was thinking of selling it and wanted to know the value. A guy on the ratings board said at least 1000 and he wouldn't sell it now. I googled Red Star Rifles and mine matches what they had. I would like a second opinion. I was thinking 750 would be a good price. Rifle is a Remington 03, 1942, British proofs on the rear sight, red painted band on the forend, with a 30 painted on it. Cartouches on the stock, nice condition except for 75 years of handling bumps and bruises. Any body can give an estimate but the man writing the check is a more accurate evaluation. We have some knowledgeable people on this site, I thought I would ask.
