Ordered a Rock Dock setup last week and presto chango the kit showed up this last Monday. In less than a week I got the Rock Dock base, and 4 plates....the instructions were spot on and the quality was wonderful.....The installation was easy and I can only say that I will be ordering more....Pat was easy to deal with and timely ..... Pat is a Straight Shooter.....Paul

Great to hear!

How about some pics after you're finished installing?

I bought one about 4 years ago and it works quite well. I keep a nut driver on my bench and when I swap presses, it's just a matter of loosening a few bolts and pulling the old press out and shoving a new one in place...

I have two large RockDocks with lube heater shelf and 12 plates for various presses. I don't tighten the bolts farther than necessary to remove one tool and insert another. I did get my ShelfDocks in.

Take care

Here goes LUBEDUDE.

127850

Here is Number 24 with LNL bushing, Dillon 38/357 sizer with a Forster ring. I'm using a Hornady shellholder with it.

Just sitting outside, sizing and decapping brass for the latest edition. The Summit is sitting on a Pat Marlin Rock Dock. I'm using the long handle on the Summit and have the short handle ready to go for seating and crimping.

I have to go compact on the road. My wife and I are travel nurses and try to get home every month.

Take care

Hi Guys,

How solid are your presses when mounted in the Rock Dock? Is there any movement at all? I'm looking for a 'rock-solid' mount for a couple of Loadmasters, as well as all the other presses, lubri-sizers, etc. ;-)

I thought about steel plates, but the RockDock sure looks like it would fit the bill nicely.

Thanks!

Mike

It does and so does Inline Fabrications mount.

Both guys are members here and both make great products. I can't decide so I have both!

Thanks for the pics Artful! :) I did not know about the website.

R1kk1, thanks for showing your travel setup. :) Hope it wasn't a PIA.

just prioritizing what I really needed to load a dozen pistol cartridges and two rifles. I broke down and ordered a Harvey Deprimer today. Compact is in! I carry some descent clamps to secure tools to the table wherever I'm at. I try not to buy what I already own and Dan thinks he can make me a quick change plate for Pat's stuff. Still looking for a table solution. Comb the threads and haven't seen anything I really like yet.

LUBEDUDE, it's hard to load on the road. No offense to anyone, I just remembered how tedious it was to load pistol on a single stage. My wife has never done it and told me wow! A lot of work. I'm currently working with Buckshot on a Dillon powder funnel for 500 Linebaugh. Lyman for a plug for the road. I really like the Summit press for the road. My Lee hand press stays in the hunting bag. I wish this press was available years ago.

Now for Dan at Inline Fabrications to solve a problem for me on the road and I've got it licked.

Take care

r1kk1, how compact are you trying to go? Seems to me if you have a Summit then you can do a Turret press. Have a look at this...
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f208/dk17hmr/box4-1.jpg

minor modifications (ie put rock dock on top) and cleats on the bottom
maybe door with a latch and if you have room use with Black & Decker workmate.

See this one is permanently mounted.

which takes up more room - if you go for removable by
using the cleats to grab with the workmate you'll have two
smaller packages to store.

Artful,

I have a P200 with me. My wife may try it out. My choice for turret press will wait and it will be too large to bring with me - Hollywood. I brought my RCBS ChargeMaster, 10-10 scale, caliper, micrometer, dies with LNL bushings with Forster rings on them placed in pacemaker boxes, shellholders, some K&M tools including deluxe primer seater, CED complete brass tornado system, two Lyman die bodies with several different m plugs and a few other small things escaping my mind at the moment.

What I'm thinking of for a table will fit in the gooseneck mount in my truck. I could see a shallow table with bracket on the underside to fit the square tubing in the bed. A little parts shopping is in order. A table top 2'x3' to place along the bedside when towing the 5th wheel. Should be solid enough for case forming duties.

I like the design as it's stand alone or leave on the hitch

I'm thinking the ground support stabilizer is a good idea.

Got two Rock Docks now, three checkmaker dies. One plate even has a 3-1/2" vise mounted on it. Very versatile item for the bench.

Artful,

I have a solution coming soon! It was so simple I kick myself for not thinking of it.

I will do an evaluation and post here when it comes. Now to call Dan at Inline because I have an idea. . .

I also love my Rockdock and have multiple tools hooked up to quick change plates. I didn't need the lube heater part so I ordered the mount without it and I routered my bench so it would sit flush with the top. I made a filler plate so when the dock is not being used I just put the piece of wood into it and the top of the bench is flush. Works great.
