Can I use small pistol primers in .357 cases for loading 148 gr. wad cutters with 3.0 gr. of titegroup instead of magnum primers? Thanks, Castbill

Use what works, but I go with powder manufacturer primer recommendation. I believe there are only a couple few powders that have mag primers recommended, 110/296 and 300. I would use standard with what you state.

Std small pistol primers are what you want to use, not the mags with that load.

Short Answer: Heck yes! Assuming you are not using AA-9, H-110, IMR 4227 or 296, a standard small pistol will certainly do what you want. Titegroup is a very fast powder which does not need a hot primer to set it off. I think your load should be just fine.
