Hello friends,
I had a great day at the range today with my new loads. I had to go to the local indoor range because of time constraints so my shooting was limited to 25 yards.
I have a new mold for my 1894, 357 mag with microgroove barrel. It is the NOE 360-180 WFN. I got the plain based version, no gas checks. They drop at about .362" and I size them to .360". I then tumble lube them in two coats of Ben's Lube. (See thread in "Lube" forum: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?259285-NEW-!-!-T-L-Liquid-Lube/page11)
I then crimp them with a modified Lee Factory Crimp Die. My rifle has Skinner peep sights on it. I couldn't be happier with the results.
The third target has a called flyer on it. At 25 yards all of the boolits almost went into the same hole. No chrono today but I am guesstimating a muzzle velocity of 1300-1400 fps.
All of my pistol rounds are loaded on a Lee Classic Turret Press with Lee dies, Lee powder measure, etc. Who says Lee can't make accurate ammo?
