My Liquid ALOX is getting really thick and I was wondering if I could dilute it with Stoddard solvent. I really don't want to make a trip to town just for a jug of mineral spirits unless it is absolutely necessary. I have an unopened bucket of Stoddard solvent and if I could use some of that in place of MS it sure would be handy.

I used to use Liquid Alox exclusively. Had the same problem. Then I thinned it with mineral spirits. Now I use Johnsons Liquid floor.
See [NEW ! ! T/L Liquid Lube (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?259285-NEW-%21-%21-T-L-Liquid-Lube)] thread below. A terrific product.

Agree Ben's Liquid Lube is the answer

Mineral Spirits is equivalent to Stoddard Solvent, but the above is correct; try Ben's Liquid.

Stick the bottle in hot water and it will thin out. I usually put a pot on the stove/hot plate on medium heat and let the bottle float in the water. If you put to much heat to the bottle it will get too soft and deform.

Bens Liquid lube is easy to do, and works great here.
