I had to cut a Crome cow patty into strips last week after mine puked a ten pounder all over the floor. What a pain in the a$$.

heres my modern art sculpture, LOL that's the bad thing about running 2 pots, I looked over and saw that from the other pot that was warming up a new batch. I cant complain, my dad bought this pot new in the early 60's so it been around the block a time or two. the knob broke off when it fell out from under my bench about 20 years ago and never missed a beat

I know how it feels.
It took me a long time to cure my
Lyman 20lb. pot ti stop dripping.
First had to reseat the plug pin.
Then add a steel weight to the handle.
And now I can say NO MORE DRIP![smilie=w:

Sorry, neither of mine drip appreciably. I never empty them or melt scrap in them, been working fine for 25+ yrs.

The knob was gone when I got it from Bo1 so I clamped a small pair of vice grips on the end of the handle and no more drips. Before that I had some interesting Art going. Probably should have put a few up at Sotherby's and retired

I've learned the hard way to put an ingot mold underneath if I need to be away or within arms reach in case of leak & unable to stop it. Ingot mold is able to hold almost all of a pot if I'm able to move it as each cavity fills. Each ingot is 3+ lbs. & 2 molds w/4 cavities each so I'm good now.

Mine never drip. But I did leave an ingot of low temp alloy on the electric hot plate and got this down the side. Wife saw it and grabbed it for her collecton. She calls it "Woman Carrying Water Jar"
