My goal is to continue to teach and guide my two grandsons so that some day they can mentor their children and children's children. We're going to make a trip to Rayner's Range this year to do some long distance shooting. http://www.raynersrange.com/. Should be fun to see what we can do . For those of you haven't been to Rayner's Range it's the place to go If you want to try your hand at a thousand yard + range.

I'm going to work hard for next year's deer season with cast boolits, never shot a deer with cast before and am determined to, will even use a cast projectile in a sabot in my in-line during ML season! I'm going to try to spend as much time hunting all parts of the state, have missed most of past several seasons with time off for surgeries, injuries & insane work schedule ( but good O/T to pay for molds & supplies) so am praying for good health, am seeing surgeon this week to schedule surgery for torn rotator cuff on right shoulder & right handed, long rehab so I'll be doing what I can as much as able to work hard at rehab so I'll be ready to go come fall. Thanks to my lead sled I'll be able to shoot before shoulder can take recoil.

I want to get back into shooting more. I find my shooting has fallen from 5,000 rounds a year down to scarcely half that. When I started thinking about it, I realized, that consciously or otherwise, I have been hoarding, due to the difficulty in replacing components. Well it dawned on me that having a pile of ammunition was simply foolish if I wasn't going to shoot it. So I have resolved to empty more cases this year.

Probably my only shooting goal is to NOT be shot by any of the jackbooted government thugs because they don't like my religious, political, or whatever views or online comments. Other than that, I'm pretty flexible for the upcoming year. :)

Return to USPSA competitions after being forced to quit mid season last year when the Psoriatic Arthritis hit me like a freight train.

Try to gain a decent level of ability shooting two revolvers at the same time. McGivern was the master at it; I am on the path of figuring it out.

From reading the above posts, I think the majority of us have not been shooting as much as we would like to the past few years. Of course the reasons vary, a lot of I believe has been due to the lack of components for one.

Secondly, age is setting in upon some of us as well. But then again, it's nothing to see shooters still having a great time up in their 70's with their handguns.

That being said, my goal is to do the same as several of the above....shoot more. And, rejoin IDPA and get back in the sport. I enjoyed it 10-11 years ago even if I did have to drive 55 miles one way once a month to make a match. I also became a bit disenchanted with IDPA. It seems a lot of the shooters were more about 'winning' than improving their skill, which was what IDPA was suppose to have been about. But I refuse to let that get in my way. Just getting together with fellow shooters and a day at the range is good enough reason to get back into it.

Ed McGivern. I still remember the day back in the late 70's when I walked into our small town post office and carried the add from an old Shooting Times add. My aunt was the postal clerk and I handed her the money and add. I still have my 'Fast & Fancy' book and it stays by my bedside. While we'll never truly know, I will always contend Ed McGivern was the greatest handgunner of all time. I may get flamed for that statement, but I will always believe this. Miculek is a legend and rightfully so. But if Ed were alive today? The first thing he'd ask Jerry about saying he beat his speed record is..'What's with the two hands?". :)

1. Start reloading 30 m-1 carbine and .30-30 and shoot them more.
2. Work on both precision and accuracy with my handguns
3. Cast boolits! .45 acp and 9mm then hopefully .30 in 100-150 grain (have yet to, hey I'm an ***!)

Up till last year, my shooting consisted of getting ready for hunting season, hunting season, and a few sessions in the backyard - couple hundred rounds a year. Last year, I started shooting IPSC, and went thru just over 4000 rounds. This year, I'm hoping to double it. Now, back to the reloading bench!

More than anything else I would like to finally gain control over my miserable neurological system so that I can hold a gun steady and properly press the trigger.

I want to be able to hit an 8" round steel at 100 yards standing offhand with every gun I own at full capacity with 100% success.
