I came up with one of these recently with the intention of using it to bump boolits to assure flat bases and try to improve accuracy. The die set with the press is for .358" and seems to work fine for bumping boolits. Are there any .30 caliber or .44 caliber dies available for this old press? The three part die set is rather simple and looks as if it could be replicated with a lathe, but if someone has a set of dies for this they'd be willing to part with I'd sure be interested.

You might post in the WTB forum - I've gotten some parts for my swag-o-matic that way.
The 30 caliber dies do occasionally show up on EBay, as do 44 and 45 dies.
If you find a source to reproduce 30-31 caliber dies - let me know! I'd love a set of dies in .314 for my 32 mag.

Call CH they still have some parts in stock. I picked up a few nose punches a few months ago

Forgot to add - for a 30 caliber die you might look for the Ch4D 101 series (I think) dies. These are a single die for half jacket boolits for the 30 carbine, they fit in a regular reloading press. Nose is SWC or RN, depending on the punch you get. Diameter runs ~.308, and max weight is ~125 gr, IIRC. I've have SWC'd much larger boolits in mine, though. These also show up on EBay from time to time.

Guess I better give CH4D a call - I thought they were long out of parts!

I have a Swag-O-Matic and have made a die set or two for it. Made one in .410 for the 41mag and am working on one to bump .224 boolits.

I e-mailed Dave Davison at CH 4D. He says they have a few nose punches available and will make dies for them on a custom basis.

Nice!
I will have to give Dave a ring.
