I took my Mosin out the other day to re-sight the scope I took off in. I bought a scope from someone on another site and it was junk. I could not keep the bullets on the same size target that is to be shown below. Anyway he screwed me on the return of it even though he said he would refund all of my money. He turned out to be a complete tool. Anyway he refunded me the cost of the scope minus what it cost him to ship it. Which was about $9 higher than what it cost me to ship it back. So I lost out on almost $30 which was the price of the scope to begin with.

The scope was a 2-7 pistol scope that I wanted so I could see my targets better than the 2.5X that I had on this rifle.

Anyway, he was banned from the other site because of this.

First I took a couple of shots at the berm to see where I was actually hitting. It was off only a little bit to my surprise. You can see how far off it was in the picture. That was the middle dot. I then grabbed 5 shells that were loaded with Lapua brass and shot the bottom dot to make sure. Boy it likes this brass combo. It always has. Just can't afford it too much. I take whatever I can find.

I then adjusted the scope and shot 5 more times at the higher dot. Not too bad for a 1943 wartime Mosin with a 2.5X scope at 75 yds.

The Load is 18.1 gr of 2400 and 215 gr that was my design for a older 1942 Izy Sniper. It works pretty good. I have not really tried to push it hard. The crimp groove could be taken out but oh well. It was one of my earlier attempts. http://www.accuratemolds.com/bullet_detail.php?bullet=31-215B-D.png

Nice groupings. Nothing worse than a crappy scope.

Very nice group, well done! The more I use the 7.62X54R and see what others have done with it, I am amazed. There are a lot of modern rifles that can't do any better and maybe worse.

TB you'll have some fun with it now! You know that combo should make meat quite well, eat right up to the hole:-)
