Anybody have any luck with these? I have a fifty and had big ideas for this, but am now thinking of sending it down the road. I have the stock hogged out for a glassed job just haven't got a good one that I like.

I converted mine to shoot bare 209 primers and use it with great success with paperpatched bullets... See Idahoron's post in muzzleloading forum

themoose can help you turn that gun into a real shooter at any range.

Can't speak for the .45 cal, but I too have a disc 50 and like it. I have successfully used it to take whitetail and it does a nice job. I am not too crazy about the red disc for 209s. The bare 209 conversion would interest me. If you pursue that I would like to see the particulars. Thanks.

Just put it on swapping and selling if anybody interested. I should be able to send that direct since that's a muzzleloader correct?

that 1/28 twist .45 could shoot a .335 to 400 grain paperpatched bullet just as a 45/70 or 45/100 could. i would have kept it and made it my main squeeze. knock down power at any range and accracy that is as good as it gets.

Yep - Under the law, it's the responsibility of the buyer (not the seller) to observe both federal and/or state/local laws that apply to them.
