And a brass one too. The brass mold will keep the heat better for those smaller boolits.

I've recently picked up 3 solid brass NOE molds to add to the collection, love both the brass NOE & MiHec molds. Hoping to someday see the NOE 360-200 FN (RCBS) & NOE 460-350 RF (RD) molds available in brass solid molds, along with the 311-165 RF (RD) brass mold I bought I'd be pretty well set up for the majority of my hunting needs in brass except for a heavier FN design for my '06, still need to come up with something for that.

According to the sheet provided with the mould, you are to heat treat the mould. I assume that I can just use the normal oven in the house for that. Is that correct?

I use a toaster oven instead of using the big oven.

My toaster oven, actually a convection oven, has been used for powder coating. Will it still be fine to use?

+1 on this, I bring molds to 400 degrees then cool to room temp., repeat 4 times.

Enough with the mould porn! Let's get it scrubbed, heat-cycled and casting boolits! You've purchased a fine mould there, bigarm. You won't realize just how fine until you start using it.

Yes, it is beautiful. Unfortunately found out not good for my lever action, so put up for sale before I even used it. Never used a brass mould before. Guess it will be longer before I do.

Why won't it work? Which levergun?

It's a round nose design. It's pointed enough to where the tip is placed squarely on the primer. I don't think it's that bad but I don't run designs like that. The one that gets me is 35 Remington 150 grain CoreLokt ammo. The point is directly on the primer but Remington says it's fine for tube magazines. That's off topic, sorry.
