Anyone have data on 311407 in the 30-06? Considered using 31141 or similar weight boolit data, but curious what the OAL will be with 311407.

I'm most interested in using 2400 -- I'm having good luck with it with the Lee 309-170 FP our of my M77 Mk 2.

HI 0802,

Try the old standby of 16-18 gr. 2400. I used 17.5 grains. I used 22-24 gr of SR4759 with that boolit and got real good results right at 23 gr. Another powder that works great is AA1680 at 25 grains.

Thanks -- do you have a specific OAL for that or is it just seated to the crimp groove? I'm using the "mod" GB 3111407 BTW.

Hi Josh,

I seat most of the cast loads I shoot out to just engrave the lands on my rifle I'm using that day.

That's the same boolit I was using also, the Group Buy from a few years back. I didn't even bother to weight segregate them. I just sized them to .310" and lubed them with some Lar's Carnauba Red and others with some Felix lube I made up. They were water-dropped wheelweights using one of the fine gator-checks from a group buy also. It's really a shooter. Shoots right up there alongside the RCBS 165 silhouette.
