I've been loading 7.62 Nagant using 32-20 brass, works fine but I was given a box of Fiocchi ammo. I shot some of it and wanted to reload the cases. It is boxer primed. I have a full set of Lee shell holders plus a few more and a number 6 works with 32-20 but this brass won't fit any shell holder I currently own, so it looks like I'll have to buy one. Anyone have any idea which shell holder I need to order?

For my PPU brass I used the Lee #19 shellholder which is the same as for the 9mm Luger.

Thanks, but I tried that one.

CH4D lists #40805/#40803 Universal Shell Holders as the proper ones for the 7.62 Nagent Revolver, then states "we recommend sending us sample cases when ordering". That should get you the correct one.

I guess I'll try that unless someone knows for sure which one fits.

I called RCBS and told them what I needed. They told me that they had one - it wasn't cheap either. I believe it was $25.00 or so. It doesn't have a number on it - it's stamped 7.62 RN RCBS.

I assume it's not a normally cataloged item. If you give them a call maybe they can fix you up.

I use my RCBS #19 meant for .25-.32 Rem and 6.8 SPC. It is just a hair loose, but that has not been a problem with my PPU brass even with that skinny little rim.

If you have the lee 7.62 nagant die set, send em an email. They will respond that if you send some cases and the shellholder back they will "modify" it for you to use with the brass!

I guess the problem with that is that it wouldn't work with the 32-20 brass, but I have 2 number 19 shellholders so I think I can modify one to work with the Fiocchi brass.

Modifying the number 19 was a bust, so I guess I'm calling CH4D. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Disregard. I read that wrong

Just curious as to what are the dimensions of your Fiocchi brass?
My ppu brass has 0.389 rim diameter and about 0.05 thickness. I've seen other references specing a 0.382 rim diameter. The 9mm luger specs at 0.392 rim.

Fiocchi brass with a #1 RCBS Shell holder or on the Co-Ax w/ S jaws

I'll get the measurements, but here's a picture of the Fiocchi brass on the right and the 32-20 on the left. You can see the 32-20 rim is much thicker and has a groove above the rim. The base of the brass isn't flat either. The groove is the problem, or rather the lack of a groove.
