I have a new autopistol that I discovered feeds a WFN profile boolit well. Unfortunately, I don't have a WFN profile mould, and I'm not going to buy any more of the Cast Performance boolits.

I thought the Lee 255 RF looked like a promising candidate for an inexpensive mould to try before I pony up the bucks to have one cut.

Can anyone tell me how wide the Meplat is, and how far from the crimp to nose is?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like about .305" for the meplat and .250" for the nose length to crimp groove.

Man I like that slug in my 45 AutoRim.

Not sure if it would help or not, but, the 200gr RF has a .330" meplat & a .265" nose to crimp length. All the photos I've seen show the 255 gr looking wider, but that's not the case for me - not sure if I got an oddball in either one.

Dubber,

I have that mold, I use it in my 45LC. If you want a few boolits from it to try, just drop me a PM.

Thanks for the measurements, I was looking at the 255 for the wide looking nose. The CP boolits I have are .355" Meplat, and .290" crimp to nose.

A little wider Meplat would be good, but for under 20$ I can try it, Thanks.
