It looks like it will. The Williams 5D is adjustable for elevation and the 1903 Springfield front sight is adjustable for windage.

It will work but be prepared to file the front blade down a bit. I bought another front 1903 sight to interchange between cast and jacketed. It's dove tailed in and pretty easy to swap out, saves a lot of effort if you use both kinds of bullets.

If I recall, you have sporter, therefore no sin in drilling and tapping. But there are no drill and tap sights available for the the Krag, the Redfield and Pacific. Neither is made anymore but can be found.

i think it is a 1903 front sight:?

I've been thinking on doing the same to mine. The original sights are tough w/o 20 YO eyeballs.

Mine's been sporterized, no loss there. The original rear sight has a peep in a fold down leaf attached to the rear blade. It's tiny and on the barrel which isn't like a receiver mounted peep. If yours has the same you may want to try it. You can always go up on the adjustment.

Your Krag is probably a NRA sporter made with WWI surplus 1903 Springfield barrels to sell to the shooting public back between the two wars. Good for you. These are nice guns that don't suffer from the Krag's lack of tight tolerances and corrosive primer eroded bores. The Williams sight is a nice addition but you may have a little problem drilling and taping through the original case hardening. Look to Brownells for a 3-flute carbide drill to break through the extra hard skin.
