Had great results yesterday with a load of:
IMR 700X--- 11.0gr
Lee 185gr .309 GC bullet. Water droped wheel weight.
Graf brass. Rifle primer.
50yds 3 shots touching, group size 1"
100yds 3 shots almost touching, group size 1 1/2"
96/11 with a higher front sight. I used the same sight hold for 50yds and 100yds.
Tried some shots standing at a 6" X 10" metal plate I made at 100yds. Hit 5 of 5 with no problem.
Going to try this same load in the 1911 long, 1911 carbine, K31, and 1889 next.
Yes, I know the 1889 uses shorter shells. I have 40 trimed down already.
Anyone else try this powder???? Seems to burn really clean.

That was our favorite 12 ga. powder along with RedDot back in the 60's for hunting doves. Very clean burning in shotgun loads.

My brother uses the same load (11 grs.) in a .270 Win but with 100 gr. Remington jacketed bullets and really raves about the accuracy-----I would guess that it is an accurate powder with light loads!
