That is good for closeup but have you tried it at distance [ like 100yds?]

I have only tried that 215V out to 50 I believe. If the nose isn't perfect it will start yawing... I don't really consider this a LONG range bullet like a Keith or LBT (which this is not) that I have shot 800 yards and had very consistent results.

But if you have to slam something up close this is THE bullet. I cast up a couple hundred this week. Once I get them sized and lubed I will try some heavier powder charges.

I also contacted the owner of Accurate Molds and asked if this bullet could be done in a 250+-...he put one right out and is the 250F...

Fired 18 rounds of the 215V today from 25 yards. 6 from a 5" 657, 6 from a 3" 657 and the last six from a 2.5" 357 Night Gard. All holes were nice and round and accuracy seemed on par with other bullets...

I want something like this in .44 mag!

That thing looks like a lead Rolo.

If you like Unique, then try HS-6!

A little slower, meters like sin and gives you more umph without breaking you body too much!

Very nice performance by the way!

Bob, I am watching with interest and high hopes that you will shoot the 215v at 100 to see if it will stabilize or not.

I have started sizing the batch of bullets cast last week so maybe by the weekend I'll have some loaded up to try them. Going to make some mid-range and high velocity rounds to see if there is a difference...

Fergie...they have several in .44....

Dont get TOO fancy with the boolet weight.
Remember that Keith did much of his shooting with
a boolet that had a flat nose of 65% of diameter , normal weight and 1200fps.
A boolet weight that can make 1200fps in your top hunting load
will take about anything you want.

The rounds have been loaded with 13.0 grains of Blue Dot which should run in the mid 1200s. Planning on going to a friend's place New Years Day and try them out...

Success!!! Took an 8 3/8" 657 out to my friends place and shot 6 rounds at 50, 75 and a 100...all holes were perfectly round. It was a little cold and my position wasn't the most stable but the round shot accurately...

The gun was last sighted in for 170 grain HPs so it was shooting a little high. The first three rounds where center hold on the paper at 50 yards. I then dropped the sights a little on the paper and the last two shots I just put the paper on top of the front sight...

75 yards....position was not real steady....

No sign of yaw at all on these two 100 yard holes...

Now I'm thinking of ordering the 41-250F which is the same nose and longer shank to make it 250 grain...

...it should have been sitting on top as the last one shot...

I have a 1977 6.5" Blackhawk and it is an excellent shooter...

Also checked this bullet in the two Freedom Arms guns I have...and it fits in both...

If you could post a picture it would be appreciated. I have one Mountain Mold that throws a 305 grain bullet. Unfortunately the area ahead of the criming groove that is full caliber is wide enough that it will not fit in the FA 83 chambers. I am mainly now using it for the Marlin Carbine and .405 Winchester.

Hey Bob,
That is a fine looking Ruger. I am anxious to try my 255 Accurate in my Hunter. As soon as I get all the parts together. I have some Carnuba Red on the way and a set of top punches coming from Accurate. I wonder if the twist is fast enough in my Marlin Carbine to run the 255?

I am running the Cast Performance 255 with 22.0 grains of H110 in the Marlins and it has stellar accuracy...

I received some very nice group out of my marlins with the Accurate 411250V which is their 250gr WFN GC design. It actually has been super accurate out of all my 41 guns. Sized and lubed it is right at 255gr for me out of COWW with 2% tin
