My first ingots. OK for an idjit.......

Picked up some ww before Christmas and I finally made 22 lbs of led ingots. Followed all you guys' suggestions, fluxing with wax and sawdust (I have a furniture maker down the street with tons of the stuff, oak, cherry,walnut, you name it!). I only burned myself once, through a welding glove no less!

Now armed proudly with a small blister I can venture forth and produce what I hope are some acceptable boolits! Why, my pride swelled up like a ripe carcass in the noon day sun! :-)

Right now, 452630, a 200g SWC. But Im looking for a 357 wadcutter or swc in 125 or 140g to load a light 38spl load in a 357 for wife to shoot in a K frame (she's recoil sensitive and is shooting .22 right now). The guys on chat gave me some great leads to follow....

There are some 95-100 gr wadcutter molds for 38. Those would be really lite!
148gr wadcutter has very little recoil loaded with bullseye or 231.

It's not to late to save yourself just send those ingots to me. Be warned if you cast those boolits the casting fairy will smite you and make you addicted for life. :kidding:

I have a friend (I know I know, I'm shocked as well) who just let me have some 148 wc to try, so Ima gonna load dem up and see how SWMBO likes them.

Now, addiction? My whole life is an addiction! Between flying, shaving with straight razors, to writing with fountain pens, to riding bicycles (at my age even!), to music, to guns, why I'm as looney as a Tune! :-)
