I see that NOE is having a sale for a couple more days. I was thinking about http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product...6tveqm71c33oa7 (http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?products_id=1156&osCsid=70ht6qbfas1o6tveqm71c33oa7) or http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product...6tveqm71c33oa7 (http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?products_id=1155&osCsid=70ht6qbfas1o6tveqm71c33oa7) ? I think the only difference is brass vs aluminum. I have used neither. I contacted Swede and he suggested http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=35&products_id=146&osCsid=2ta6q3kjc02q8kfo776mbhhek2
Any input on these bullet moulds and on brass vs aluminum? I am leaning towards the brass, but don't know why other than it looks classy. These would be used in a Smith and Wesson model 60 3 inch and a lever gun (unknown yet).

Edit: I see the brass is not in stock. Anyone know how long it takes for something to come back in stock and if the discount will still apply?

Brass is heavy in a 4 cavity, but for a 2 cavity, no worries.
What is purpose? Plinking & fast reloads, RN are great.
For hunting or self defense, I prefer a SWC design. Although the flat noses are slower for "quick" reloading using a reloader.
Any 150 gr should be fine. I shoot a lot of 358156 Thompson design. I will be using the WFN since I just got one.
And 4 cavity molds are quicker to empty the pots. Enjoy!

I just got the 160 WFN RG2 aluminum. That is a great design in my opinion for what you want.

I'd recommend aluminum, 4 or 5 cavity. The 2 cavity molds are for guns you don't shoot that much. With two guns to feed, you'll want to make plenty of boolits. A 5 cavity aluminum is about half the weight of a 4 cavity brass, The brass molds are beautiful but they get tiring an hour or two into a 30 pound run.

I have the 360 - 180 gr WNN -2RG in brass; It is heavy but the other attributes overshadow the weight. Maintains temerature very well. I use them in a S&W 637 & 642.

Lets see if I understand this right, you want help deciding between two molds, which are the same molds just made of material, but one isn't available, so you need help picking out a mold out of one possibility. lol
I thought about it long and hard, and believe the aluminum mold is what I would pick.

I do not have any brass molds of any kind, but all kidding aside, buying a NOE aluminum mold is a mistake. Before you even heat it up, you will be wanting your next one, and wandering who talked you into buying lessor quality molds. I made that mistake, and recently compounded it by buying an accurate mold, now I will have to have more of them.
Both makes are truly works of art compared to others.
